TCs with Instructors who have completed the Guidelines Update Course and have paid the course fee are eligible to order the updated HSI First Aid | CPR AED program.

This program gives you the flexibility to teach 9 different certification options and conforms to 2025 Guidelines.

A Decade of Program Evolution (and One Familiar Face)

HSI First Aid | CPR AED marks our 10th emergency care program release, dating all the way back to MEDIC First Aid in 1977. Throughout this time, one familiar face has been a part of every single release: Corey Abraham.

Now Director of Instructor Development, Corey’s journey started early because his mom was one of the original MEDIC First Aid employees. As a child, he made appearances in some of our program videos. Today, he celebrates 31 years with HSI and continues to shape the strength and consistency of our programs.

Some things change, but great training and great people endure.

Current HSI Instructors are required to complete the HSI 2025 Guidelines Update Course. After the course is completed, TC Directors must pay the 2025 Update Fee. When these two steps are completed, you will be able to purchase and teach with the updated First Aid | CPR AED program.

National CPR & AED Awareness Week kicks off the first week of June — and this year, so does the HSI Bot Bucks Redemption Period!

Starting Monday, June 1^st through Friday, June 5^th, spend your accrued HSI Bot Bucks on student skill guides, certification cards, and other HSI-produced materials.

Have you seen the recently updated HSI Training Center Administrative Manual (TCAM) and HSI Fact Sheet in Otis and on the HSI Website?

The TCAM is a collection of the standards and guidelines that establish the criteria for quality assurance and performance improvement of HSI, its approved TCs, authorized Instructor, and Instructor Trainers. 

The Fact Sheet gives an overview of HSI and the regulations, guidelines, and quality assurance standards in place.

Both documents are updated on a regular basis or when there are changes that need to be shared. They are available for you to use as you reach out to prospective or current customers.
