New 2025 Guidelines for CPR & Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) were released at the end of October. The HSI team is busy with the process of developing new programs based on the new Guidelines. New program development includes script writing, film production, and materials layout —­ all in collaboration with the HSI Medical Advisory Board.

HSI will release an Instructor Update Course in early January. When you take the update course, you will receive all interim program materials and a breakdown of the Guidelines.

Release dates for specific programs will be shared by email as our development process moves forward.

HSI will follow our usual practice of providing a transition period when we release new programs to ensure a smooth update for our Instructors and Training Centers.

One of the responsibilities of a Training Center Director is knowing when to reauthorize your TC’s affiliated Instructors. HSI helps with this task with automatic email reminder notifications sent to your email address.

How to Set Up an Expiring Instructors Email Notification

• On your TC Dashboard, go to the left-hand navigation bar.
• Click on Settings
• From the drop-down menu, select Emails
• In the upper right corner, click the green button labeled “+Create New Email”
• On this screen:
  • Enter an Email Name, Email Subject, Email From, and choose your Email Recipients.
  • Add open text or information into the body of the email (this is optional).
  • Under “Attach Report” select “Instructors Expiring in 90 Days”.
  • Choose how often you want to receive the email under the “Recurring” section and add “Starting Month” and “Recurring Day of Month” dates.
  • Click Save.

After you set up the notification, you will receive automatic Expiring Instructors Reports by email on the reoccurring timeline you selected.
