Excavation and Trenching - Competent Person
This lesson is for any worker who will fill the role of a “competent person” on an excavation worksite. It is assumed that learners already have a basic understanding of excavation and trenching site characteristics, hazards, and protective systems but the lesson includes a brief review of that content before covering your responsibilities as a competent person on an excavation site. You will learn how to assess excavation hazards, determine appropriate protective systems, monitor conditions, and respond to unsafe conditions.
